February 25- Why Don’t They Believe Me?- Mark 6:1-6

Why is it that when something about you is either going really well or you have had a change take place it is the people closest to you who don’t recognize it?  This is a common theme in peoples lives, the people who have known us the longest choose to not give us the benefit that we are grown up.

I find it funny that even Jesus had this same problem.  Here he was teaching with authority and was known for performing miracles and still some of the biggest skeptics were those who knew him as a little boy.  It wasn’t like Jesus was the rebel child but he was once, “Little Jesus.”

Today, don’t allow others to put you down or keep you in a prison of not allowing you to be who you are.  If you have had a change in your life, express it and live life to the full.  To those who are skeptics, do what Jesus did and walk away from them. Remember, bad company corrupts character.
